Everybody has a notion of how much conventional jobs pay. But most people aren't really sure when it comes to more unorthodox jobs like professional video gaming, arm wrestling, stunt doubling, or cagefighting. Furthermore, there are some jobs that can occasionally pay a lot more than expected. One prime example is that of public bus drivers in Wisconsin.

Stunt Double

According to the 2004 Guinness World Records, the most expensive stunt in cinematic history appeared in Cliffhanger (1993). Simon Crane was paid $1 million to move between two jets, flying at an altitude of 15,000 feet, using a rope. No safety equipment or special effects were used.

Professional Starcraft Player

South Korea's interest in Starcraft fuels professional gaming leagues where the top computer nerds become celebrity icons. The best paid Starcraft star and video gamer in history is Lim Yo-Hwan. His current annual earnings include a salary of over $300,000 and an additional $90,000 in endorsements. He has recently returned from mandatory military service and is attempting to make a comeback.
